Gold is a sign of status in many societies throughout the ages. Other than monetary value, pure gold are non toxic and are not an uncommon sight in culinary and medical use today.
Use of gold in skin care and as means of anti aging is not a new invention and had been widely and heavily publicized by many branded cosmetics.
Gold thread lift is not a new technology either. Invented by a French surgeon, this technique involves implanting pure gold threads into the skin. Pure gold is an inert (it cannot react with any substance it comes into contact with, thereby minimizing the risk of allergic reactions).
When implanted into the skin, the body will recognize the gold threads as a foreign substance and encourage the production of collagen around the gold threads, stimulating the formation of new tissues. When new tissues form, new blood vessels will appear. This will indirectly increase blood supply to the areas which had been treated by the gold threads, which will, in time, result in the skin becoming firmer and more rejuvenated, just like surgical facelift (where excess skin will be excised). The pure gold threads will be broken down naturally by the body in due course (over 5-10 years).

It is very important that good medical quality gold threads are being used, because the use of sub quality gold threads, which may not be as pure and might cause allergic reactions and infections.
