Post Procedure Swelling and Healing Time Phase
‘Closed’ blepharoplasty (Suturing / Stitching technique)
As there is no cutting or removal of skin, post operative swelling using this technique is usually minimal.
Most patients will be able to return home on the same day after surgery, and can go back to work the next day.
There are a few general points to note:
In general the higher the created crease, the greater is the swelling. Where the suture or stitch is placed, the distance between the suture and the margin of the upper eyelid is the region of the swelling.
